ABSTRACT

In conclusion, the study by Wang et al. represents a significant contribution to the field of metal zeolite bifunctional catalysis, offering a simple and efficient synthesis methods to obtain the ultra small Ni particle zeolite-based catalyst. They also revealed that the pre-ageing of the catalysts in hydrogen or nitrogen was the crucial factor, which enabled the Ni2+ to interact with the silanol nests on the zeolite before the metal salts were broken down. This resulted in the formation of ultrasmall nanoparticles in the metallic state. The findings have the potential to influence future research and development in this area, and it will be interesting to seeing how these ultra-small nickel nanoparticles can be further optimized and applied in other catalytic systems.
