ABSTRACT
Generally, stable and robust RTP
materials with high efficiency and long lifetime are required for practical
applications. The commonly used matrices including PMMA and PVA are essentially
non-luminescent and they serve merely as a rigid cage to restrict the movement
of guest molecules and exclude water and oxygen. The potential host-guest energy
transfer with the use of a luminescent matrix, like nylon, may provide an
effective strategy to boost the generation of triplet excitons and thus
increase the phosphorescence efficiency.
