ABSTRACT
A pair of lead-free chiral-polar perovskites of (S-MPz)6Bi3I21·6H2O and (R-MPz)6Bi3I21·6H2O have been acquired via the introduction of chiral cations. The distinctive self-powered X-ray detection with a considerable sensitivity of 5.2 μC Gyair−1 cm−2 is successfully achieved based on high-quality single crystals. This work highlights the potential of lead-free perovskites in self-powered X-ray detection.

A lead-free Ge-based two-dimensional perovskite (benzimidazolium)2GeI4 with broadband near-infrared emission has been synthesized, and the order-disorder phase transition coupled with prominent dielectric switching appears at high temperature.

ABSTRACT
By simultaneous combination of π-conjugated 4-hydroxypyridine and oxalate (C2O4)2– group with stereochemical active Sb(III) cation, a layered hybrid antimony(III) oxalate with a large birefringence is achieved.
