ABSTRACT

In summary, CuxCe1–xO2 bimetallic mesoporous oxides were successfully synthesized by a simple two-part hydrothermal method with the assistance of CTAB, showing excellent CH4 selectivity. We speculate that the high selectivity of CuxCe1–xO2 for CH4 is due to the strong adsorption of *CO by the mesoporous structure, which promotes the formation of *CHO.
