ABSTRACT
Unlike previously reported symmetry breaking with nanoribbons or Möbius rings, which exhibit single-handedness within one assembled structure, this study observes unique symmetry breaking in TPP-C8OH assembly system. Specifically, both left-handed (M) and right-handed (P) helices are present within single twisted nanoribbons. Additionally, chiral alcohol solvents induce assemblies with distinct helical orientations, resulting in significant CPL and CD signals. This study elucidates the impact of solvent choice on symmetry breaking and chiral assembly, providing insights into the design of advanced chiral materials with tailored chiroptical properties. -

ABSTRACT
The assembly behaviors of CTTA and BCBDA at the HA/HOPG interface were investigated using STM. The introduction of linear carboxylic acid molecule EDA and pyridine derivative PEBP-C4 as modulators into the systems enabled the observation of enriched co-assembly patterns.
